Liverpool still hoping tosign Saul Niguez. Liverpool are still hoping to beat Barcelona in the signing of Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez.

         The 26-year-old is a key figure in Diego Simeone’s squad, having made 33 appearances in La Liga last season, scoring two goals and providing one assist to help the team win the title.

         There have been ongoing reports this week that Barcelona are trying to return Antoine Griezmann to Atletico in exchange for Saul. Although the team initially tried to be Joao Felik. But the famous team of Madrid are not interested in this deal.

         However, according to Fabricio Romano, despite reports of a switch between Griezmann and Saul, no progress has been made yet.

         Recently, AS revealed that the Reds are keen to bring Saul to replace the departure of Georginho Wijnaldum. That with a €40m offer to be considered by Atletico Madrid.
